Tyrone Morgan

After retiring from 35 years of federal government service, including 30 years in law enforcement, Mr. Tyron Morgan founded and operates Fishing with Fathers, a nonprofit mentorship organization (pending approval) dedicated to fostering and strengthening the bond between fathers and their children through fishing.

In addition to his nonprofit work, Mr. Morgan serves as an educator, mentor, counselor, and coach with H.E.A.L.I.N.G. Hearts Network, where he teaches marriage classes, suicide intervention/prevention, parenting classes,  men’s issues, security classes,  military matters, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). 

Mr. Morgan served eight years in the United States Marine Corps and, upon completing his military service Tyrone worked for Dallas County as a Detention Officer before joining the Bureau of Prisons on January 9, 1994. During his career, he worked in correctional services for over seven years as a Senior Officer, a Sports Specialist in Recreation, and an Education Specialist for 11 years. He also served as the Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) Team Leader for 14 years, the CPR Team Lead Instructor for over 25 years, and a member of the Employee’s Club Board for over 27 years. Mr. Morgan retired from the Bureau of Prisons on January 14, 2024.

Mr. Morgan is deeply involved in his community, he serves as an Associate Minister at Great Commission Baptist Church (GCBC), the GCBC Men’s Ministry President, and the GCBC Marriage Ministry President. He has been an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) Instructor since 2011 and recently reactivated his instructor certification in August 2023.

Mr. Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education Mid-Level 4–8). 

Tyrone and Sarolyn have been married for 27 years and have two sons who are college graduates.
