In addition to her civilian career, Mrs. Morgan serves as a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, with over 34 years of service. At times, she has provided leadership to over 11,000 service members across 28 states. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor and holds a Board-Certified Diplomat credential. Her career encompasses roles such as program manager, brigade commander, chief social work officer, director, educator, psychotherapist, consultant, coach, advocate, and liaison.
Mrs. Morgan’s professional experience includes program management, victim advocacy, public speaking, and mental health services. She has directed large-scale training and education programs, provided mental health services to diverse populations, and managed victim witness programs. Additionally, she has conducted statistical analysis, program assessment, and evaluation, developed policies based on evidence-based practices, and provided editorial and content reviews for various projects and policies. Mrs. Morgan consistently collaborates and communicates with community partners on resources, client needs, and best practices.
Since 2014, Mrs. Morgan has been an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Coach, an ASIST consultant since 2011, and a Master Trainer since 2005. With over 25 years of experience, she excels in providing one-on-one, group training, and coaching across various professional competency areas. Her style is described as strategic and visionary, honed from her experience in high-profile, fast-paced environments where decision-making and problem-solving are routine. She has advised individuals at all levels within ICE, the military, the private sector, internationally, and within the faith community.
Mrs. Morgan is also deeply involved in her community, serving as the Marriage Ministry President, Grief Share Facilitator, and Bible Educator. She holds several certifications and has received numerous prestigious awards. Her educational background includes a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College (2021), a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (1998), and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (1995).
